What to know before you look at a home.
Freehold is not the whole story
Foreign buyers can own property in designated freehold areas. The rule depends on the emirate and the plot, so the project page states where that home actually sits.
Off-plan is paid in stages
Most new homes are bought from the developer on a payment plan. The split, the handover date, and what is due at each stage are confirmed before anyone reserves.
Fees sit outside the price
Dubai Land Department fees, service charges, and agency fees are separate from the advertised starting price. Ask for them with the floor plan, not after a reservation form.
